The World Behind Me
photos and words by maytal
I looked into your eyes and saw the reflection of myself—the rest of the world stood behind my reflection, blurred.
tears rolled down our faces in a synchronized pace
straight from our eyes, to the pillowcase both our heads rested on.
during that moment I had a head full of words and thought but my mouth speak.
words I was unable to form sealed with a kiss.
now, that moment has digested, and here I am left with only three words.
I miss you.
The Things i hate:
I hear the echoes of you singing along to the song in the back of my mind.
the songs I claim to hate when you play them, I listen to on repeat because I long for your memory to stay in my head.
